In the heart of Lumberton, Texas, Priest Insurance Agency opened its doors in 2001 with a distinct mission in mind. Fundamental to our success, our mission is to provide a consultative approach to insurance by educating our clientele on how their insurance coverage works for them. We believe that caring for our clients goes far beyond providing general insurance coverage, but rather, providing customized insurance coverage to specifically meet their needs. Operating by this approach enables us to properly protect our clients’ assets against the unfortunate, unexpected events that come up in our day-to-day lives.

Dan Priest
Being from the area, Dan is familiar with the pride and joy that comes with living in Southeast Texas. His parents moved to Lumberton in 1963 when the area was only beginning to be brought to life. Dan admires how his family transformed a plot of land into a place that himself and his siblings would always know as “home”. Although Lumberton has perks of its own, one of his family’s favorite things about living in the area is its proximity to the beach! Subsequently to building a home in Lumberton, his family purchased a small beach cabin in Crystal beach in 1972. Since that time, they’ve been living and playing in Southeast Texas!
Dan is a proud graduate of Lamar University with a BBA in Finance. After graduation, he spent some time working in Houston cutting his teeth in the financial industry and developing his own business. Though Houston gifted him with much adventure and invaluable experience, he had an undeniable desire to return to his roots in Lumberton, TX. Dan views the establishment of Priest Insurance Agency in 2001 as a true blessing to himself and his family. Since 2001, he’s been honored to work alongside the wonderful people within his company who have greatly contributed to the growth of Priest Insurance Agency. He’s also enjoyed watching the people within his company experience the same overwhelming gratitude that comes with serving a wonderful clientele, to whom he is very grateful.
Dan spends his extra time running, swimming, and completing a few marathons along the way! On a typical weekend, you can find him on a boat in the bay with a few reds, reaping the reward of a great home cooked meal, or just enjoying a day at the beach with family.
Kimberly Priest
With over two decades of experience in neurophysiology nursing, Kimberly brings a unique blend of compassion, precision, and leadership to the insurance industry. Three years ago, she transitioned into this field to work alongside her husband, embracing a new chapter in a career that holds deep personal significance.
Now a licensed agent in Property & Casualty as well as Life & Health, Kimberly is a leader within one of their thriving agencies. She is passionate about guiding a dynamic team of smart, motivated, and talented producers, fostering a culture of excellence and camaraderie.
Her background in healthcare ensures her passion for helping others continues to shine through as she supports clients in her community and beyond, guiding them through the insurance process with empathy and clarity. Her career is a testament to lifelong learning, adaptability, and the power of purpose-driven work.
Outside the office, Kimberly enjoys spending time with family, fishing on quiet mornings, running to recharge, and traveling to explore new places
Chelsea Wiatrek
Chelsea is a highly experienced and dedicated Licensed Insurance Producer, celebrating nine years in the industry and with Farmers. She brings a deep understanding of coverage options and a passion for personalized client support.
Chelsea’s professional journey began after a rewarding decade as a stay-at-home mom. Once both of her children entered school, she was ready to pursue a career outside the home and “was fortunate enough to find and fall in love with the insurance industry,” a field she has excelled in ever since.
Her primary role involves working as a producer, and she finds her greatest professional reward in navigating home insurance with first-time home buyers. She views this work as a privilege, loving “being a small part of such a big moment in people’s lives” by helping them secure their largest investment.
Being part of this team and serving the Southeast Texas community is particularly rewarding for Chelsea. She is grateful to work alongside a team she enjoys spending her days with, noting that they all share the common goal of providing the best care to their customers.
When she’s not at work, Chelsea dedicates her time to her children, supporting them in all their various activities. For fun, she enjoys karaoke, spending time with her friends, and settling in to watch some football.
Katie Townsend
Katie’s journey into insurance began during her last semester of college. While working part-time as a nanny with no set career path, a friend suggested she try the industry. After studying and passing her licensing exam, she quickly fell in love with helping people understand coverage and protecting their assets. After graduation, she decided to stay in the industry, and four years later, she’s still very happy with that choice!
Katie is a specialist at the agency, focusing on both sales and commercial insurance. She loves working alongside an incredible team and genuinely enjoys helping customers understand what they need to protect their assets—whether it’s their home, vehicle, or business. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is seeing that “light bulb moment” when a client understands a coverage she’s explaining. It’s a great feeling knowing she’s making something important clear and impactful for them.
She loves being part of a team made up of strong, knowledgeable, and caring individuals who support each other. When it comes to serving the Southeast Texas community, Katie takes pride in helping people protect what matters most to them. Knowing that her work provides peace of mind to families and businesses in the area makes it especially meaningful.
On her time off, Katie loves watching football and baseball with her husband—Hook ’em Horns! She also enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Creed and Louise, and shopping for home decor at the local antique stores.
Madison (Mckenzie) Golden
Madison is a dedicated member of the team, bringing two years of experience and a fresh, client-focused approach to the insurance industry.
Madison initially pursued a career in the field of hairdressing. Seeking a profession that offered a strong sense of stability and long-term potential, she made the transition into insurance two years ago. This move allowed her to pivot her passion for service into a career where she could help clients secure their financial future.
Her primary role involves working directly with clients to identify and secure optimal coverage. What Madison enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to educate clients and ensure they leave feeling confident and protected.
The decision to be a part of this team and serve the Southeast Texas community was driven by a genuine appreciation for the local culture. Madison feels a strong sense of “home” within both the agency and the community, which fuels her commitment to providing neighbors with personalized and honest service.
Outside of the office, Madison cherishes quiet time and relaxation, happily embracing the simple joy of not having to leave the house.
Desiree Belk
Desiree brings a decade of industry experience and a passion for personalized care to the agency team.
Her pursuit of a career in insurance was deeply influenced by her grandmother, who enjoyed a long and successful career in the field. Watching how she cared for her clients and built lasting relationships left a big impression. Desiree initially started in customer service and quickly realized how meaningful the work could be. She’s now dedicated 10 years to the industry, with Farmers, gaining valuable insight and expertise.
In her role, Desiree serves as a customer service representative, working directly with clients to understand their needs and find the best coverage solutions. What she enjoys most is the opportunity to build lasting relationships and be someone clients can genuinely rely on during life’s unexpected moments.
What Desiree loves most about being part of this team is the palpable sense of family—they support each other, celebrate wins together, and genuinely care about the work they do.
Outside of work, Desiree’s favorite pastime is spending time with her little boy, her husband, and their dogs.

Shay Fontenot
Shay brings over 22 years of experience to the agency, transforming what started as a search for a full-time job into a rewarding, long-term career she’s been able to thrive in.
Having spent over two decades in the insurance industry, Shay has become an integral leader at the South Office Location, enjoying her role as part of the “well-oiled machine” the team has created.
Her passion is fueled by the opportunity to educate clients on the ins and outs of insurance so they are never shocked or overwhelmed if a claim arises. Beyond providing an invaluable experience, she focuses on building genuine, lasting relationships—some of which have even blossomed into friendships that offer personal lessons outside the office.
She has truly enjoyed building a “family” within the agency, where they learn and grow with each other, creating an environment she’s proud to work at. Serving the Southeast Texas community is rewarding, allowing her to teach people about their coverage and, most of all, to help save people money so they can put that extra back into their family’s pockets.
Outside of the office, Shay leads an active life. She loves watching her kids thrive in their elements, whether through sports, band, college academics, or exploring new things. She is also heavily involved in the running and triathlon community, racing anything from a 5K to a Half Ironman and working toward earning a prestigious 7-star medal by running seven major marathons around the world. For a treat, her favorite indulgences are brownies, cookies, cheesecake, and anything banana—always better with ice cream!
Jaime Lewis
Jaime has been a dedicated part of the Priest Insurance team for over 12 years. Since joining in 2013, she’s discovered a genuine passion for the industry, particularly for helping and educating clients-especially when it comes to beach and Coastal insurance.
In her role, Jaime focuses on outside business, beach, and commercial insurance. What she enjoys most is making sure people truly understand their coverages, guiding them through the often complex details of their policies.
For Jaime, serving the Southeast Texas community is deeply personal because she has lived here her whole life. She finds immense satisfaction in helping and serving the community she calls home.
Outside of work, Jaime loves spending time with her husband and children. They enjoy going to the beach, and they share a love for traveling and exploring new places together.
Jimmy Quinones
James has built his career on a foundation of customer service, always finding the greatest reward in successfully assisting people with exactly what they need. His journey into insurance began when a past customer service position led him to acquire his Property and Casualty license. He found he loved the industry, realizing it was a powerful way to pursue his passion for helping people by providing coverage they not only need but can also benefit from in the long run.
He has been working as a licensed insurance agent since late 2020, quickly gaining experience across various companies. James currently focuses on helping clients who may only have one policy to discover the benefits of bundling, or cross-selling. The thing he enjoys most about this is opening the doors for savings for people who may be unaware of the potential advantages and benefits of having all of their policies in one place.
The best part of being part of this team is the people, both his splendid coworkers and the community he meets and talks to each day. Since starting with the agency, he’s enjoyed getting to assist many of his own friends and immediate family members from the Southeast Texas area, and he looks forward to assisting many new friends along the way.
Outside of work, James loves spending time with family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys watching anime and movies, lifting weights for exercise, playing video games, and chatting online with old friends from Missouri.
Deseray Lowe
Deseray began her career in customer service, gaining experience working in manufacturing aerobic systems and managing a hardware store. She transitioned to the insurance industry after hearing about the great opportunities it offers, but she’s stayed because she genuinely enjoys helping people save money while educating them about their coverage options.
Now with two years in the insurance industry, Deseray is dedicated to learning new ways to better serve her clients every day. Her role at the agency involves both producing and customer service. What she enjoys most is educating clients, helping them understand their options so they can make informed decisions. She also finds it fascinating to learn the ins and outs of how insurance works.
From day one, Deseray found the team to be incredibly welcoming, and she takes pride in serving the wonderful people of Southeast Texas.
Outside of the office, Deseray is obsessed with her dog and loves spending time outdoors. Hiking, camping, and traveling are some of her favorite ways to relax and recharge, along with creative hobbies like crocheting and crafts.
